How much effort should a bariatric program put in to get better outcomes? This question only answers half of the riddle. Other half is represented by patient(s) whose acceptance, understanding and compliance delivers the final punch.
Amrita Paul is a warrior and her journey in last 1 year reflects the spirit of thousands who are successfully losing weight after bariatric surgery. She not only follows the tenets of surgery but also shares feelings of an obese (pre-surgery) person through her blog ‘A Fat Lady Sings’. I am sure her feelings will resonate in many hearts across the globe.
It has been a pleasure to meet, interact and follow weight loss journey of another star of our program. I wish Amrita more strength, independence, and enjoyment.
Dr Ramen Goel
Amrita C. Paul shares her journey towards health.
With the bariatric surgery, I have observed a constant progress in my weight and thankfully it has not come back. I weighed at 127 kgs and today I stand proudly at 87 kgs. The whole journey from that weight to this weight has changed my life drastically. I have started running and spending more quality time with my daughter as now I feel less tired. Moreover, I also find the joy of experiencing small things in life. The surgery has really changed my life and it feels so good when everyone gives you the appreciation.
The whole surgical team of Dr. Ramen Goel has been so supportive throughout the journey that has created another huge difference towards me. Thank you so much for giving me a new life.
