CMS Goal Keeper - Mr. Awanish Kumar Type of Surgery – Sleeve Gastrectomy
About the Surgery - It is a procedure that induces weight loss by limiting food intake. It involves surgical removal of left side of the stomach. CMS had recently conducted a contest, playfully titled #HoNaPaayega. The idea was to encourage people to take a healthy resolve and say #HoNaPaayega to all unhealthy habits that restricts them from achieving their health goal. The contest gained immense popularity and we received some awe-inspiring entries. However, as is the case with contests, there is but one winner.
The winner of this contest was the very talented CMS Goal keeper, Ms. Amrita C. Paul. Here’s the winning entry that she submitted for the contest:
“I pledge to respect myself and my body’s needs and to feed myself based on need and not greed. That means no eating to please my palate, but to please the cells of my body which need nourishment, and not sugars, saturated fats and starvation. I pledge to love myself enough. Self-flagellation #HoNaPayega!!”
